Eden Boys’ School, Preston celebrates exceptional GCSE results
Celebrations are underway at Eden Boys’ School, Preston after pupils received their GCSE results.
Teachers and parents have been celebrating with pupils at the school as they progress onto the next stage of their education or training. The school’s star performers include Head Boy Kashif Jamil and Rayaan Hasan who achieved the grades they needed to secure their first choice sixth form places.
Kashif Jamil, the school’s Head Boy, is one of this year’s top performers. Kashif is on cloud nine after achieving ten GCSEs, including grade 9s in English Literature, Maths and History, six grade 8s and one grade 7. He is delighted to have secured a place at Lancaster Royal Grammar School to study A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Economics. Reflecting on his achievements, the talented pupil said:
“I’ve worked really hard for these grades over the last few years and I am so glad that my hard work has been recognised. The teachers at my school have very high expectations and I always knew that they would help and inspire me get to the next level. It is such a wonderful feeling to finally have these results and be able to go on to the next stage of my life. I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me get here.”
Rayaan Hasan was another of the school’s high achievers who was delighted to receive an exceptional set of GCSE results. With a grade 9,8 in Double Science, grade 8s in English Language, English Literature and History, and a grade 7 in Maths, Rayaan has secured a place to study his A levels at Cardinal Newman Sixth Form College. Commenting on his success, Rayaan said:
“If you had told me at the beginning of Year 7 that I would go on to achieve these results or to develop the confidence that I have, I would never have believed you. I’m just so grateful to all the teachers, staff and my parents and friends for helping me to grow and develop into the person I am today.”
